Guangzhou American International School was established in 1981. It is the first international school in southern China and a non-profit international school. Today, the school has two campuses, covering 12 grades from preschool to high school, with more than 1,000 students from 50 countries, and has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the International Baccalaureate Organization ( IBO) authorized and passed the World Class Instructional Design and Testing (WIDA).

Guangzhou American International School is divided into preschool, primary school, junior high school and high school. The school is tailored to meet the needs of students at different stages.
