Daystar Academy is a bilingual school with 50% Chinese and 50% English. It enrolls students from toddler class to grade 7 (aged 2-13). The toddler class focuses on language acquisition and the development of social skills. Kindergarten is an immersion Montessori teaching mode of half day Chinese and half day English for 3-6 years old. The teaching mode of primary school is also that students spend 50% of their time learning Chinese, mathematics, art, sports and music of China’s national standard courses. In addition, 50% of the time, students focus on English language, literature, sociology, science and performing arts that meet the national core standards of the United States.
