Dalian American International School is one of schools of Nord Anglia. At American international school in the Golden Pebble Beach National Resort, they teach children aged 4-18 years old. It is for foreign residents who meet the children’s educational needs hold valid foreign passports and now live in Dalian or surrounding areas. Founded in October 2006, currently, there are nearly 400 students. In addition to the children of Intel employees, they also recruit all foreign school-age children in China, from kindergarten to high school. Many people were admitted to famous American universities for further study. A total of 46 principals and teachers are employed from the United States. They have rich experience in teaching students and advanced school facilities, including science laboratory, interactive blackboard, open library and a new gymnasium with indoor warm water swimming pool, basketball court and volleyball court. The overall purpose of the secondary school curriculum of Dalian American International School is to meet the educational development and social needs. The secondary school project provides a supportive and flexible environment in which students will have the opportunity to develop skills and explore learning experiences while completing the transition from primary to high school. The Dalian American international school high school curriculum provides a dynamic learning environment designed to prepare each student for a successful college experience. Strong academic rigorous procedures enable students to cultivate independence and self-reliance in a self challenging environment. Students will learn and practice in different ways. The course focuses on students’ communication, cooperation and complex thinking. Through student union, Model United Nations or service-oriented activities, students will become more confident, mature and self-reliance. Dalian American international school primary school curriculum will focus on cultivating children who can take the necessary comprehensive development measures against risks. The school realizes that when students can experience success and form an understanding of the development of things, and when teachers find and use information to connect the whole curriculum and organize students to learn new concepts, students will form the motivation of active learning. In teaching activities, the school recognizes that students have their own unique learning methods, so the starting point of curriculum structure is to meet the needs of all students through classroom evaluation strategies and timely feedback.
