OCAC Suzhou provides 15-year bilingual education in both Chinese and English from kindergarten to senior high school. With China’s national curriculum as the program, the International Diploma IB curriculum as the structure, and the integration of innovative courses as the characteristics, cultivate active, enterprising and all-round development lifelong learners. The school is committed to developing students’ creativity, innovation and artistic potential, so that they can cooperate with young people from all over the world to solve the world problems in the 21st century in the future. The school takes the national curriculum of China as the program, takes the international advanced curriculum concept as the guidance, and takes the school-based curriculum as the characteristics to cultivate active, enterprising and all-round development lifelong learners. The school adopts a small class teaching system. From kindergarten to grade 10, adopt the infiltrative bilingual inquiry education model; Grades 11 to 12 adopt IBDP (International Diploma University Foundation) course, and all other subjects are taught in English except Chinese. In order to better develop the potential of students’ creativity, innovation and art creation, the school creatively interprets the “six arts” in ancient China according to the learning method of IB, thus establishing the school’s after-school extension curriculum framework and enriching the extension curriculum content by exploring teachers’ talents, introducing high-quality external resources and based on local characteristics. The course covers many fields of Chinese and western sports, such as the combination of Chinese and Western science and technology and provides students with a rich choice of Chinese and western sports, art and creation.
