Shenzhen Yaohua Experimental School is a K-12 private school. Located at No. 99, Jingtian South Fifth Street, Futian District, Shenzhen. It covers an area of 31,117 square meters with a construction area of 31,000 square meters.
There are 3 departments: primary school, junior middle school and senior high school.
In primary school, there are nearly 200 teachers, including more than 30 international teachers. Founded in 2004, it has modern multimedia computer network classroom, body room, piano room, gymnasium and concert hall. At present, there are 80 classes. Each classroom is equipped with full-time foreign and Chinese teachers sitting at the back of the classroom, 60 Inch rear projection, book corner and a graffiti wall. The school has a school paradise, a drum team and dozens of associations.
In junior middle school, there are 25 classes with around 670 students (small size teaching) and 65 teachers.
In senior high school, student-teacher ratio is 10:1. There are more than 400 students and more than 40 teachers.
In 2009, with the approval of Shenzhen Education Bureau, Yaohua opened a high school international curriculum experimental class with outstanding results. The school has established a leading international education and teaching training mode – a “one-stop” service integrating social practice and overseas study recommendation. It has achieved strategic cooperation with world famous universities (such as the new Ivy League and Claremont University Alliance in the United States).
At the same time, the international department is tailor-made for each student. The study abroad planning, study abroad application, document planning and study abroad guidance are basically completed by American teachers graduated from famous American schools, and the whole process of grades 9-12 is tracked. For students to study in different places in the United States alone in the future, adapt, transit, experience, meet unknown challenges, cultivate the ability to respond and correctly analyze and solve problems, arrange students to participate in the learning opportunity to go to the United States once a year with guide teachers follow-up all day.
