BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen belongs to BASIS education group. There are 2 BASIS campuses in Shenzhen- the BASIS international school is in Shekou, Nanshan, and Basis Bilingual School is based in central part of Futian. It makes up for the shortage of international education in Futian. BASIS international school is very popular but it requires foreign passport, while the new sister bilingual school has no such limits and offers status in Chinese education system, combining the international education with the Chinese compulsory education, giving parents and students more choices to decide whether to study at home or aboard in the future. BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen starts its first academic year in 2020 Fall. It is planning to accommodate 1800 students, ranging from PreK-1 to Grade 12 (enrolls pre-K1 to G9 for now). It have 2 phases, covering an area of 26,116 square meters, with a total construction area of about 48,000 square meters. There are 80 standard classrooms, 12 laboratories, art classrooms, music classrooms, dancing studios and other functional classrooms, as well as a library, a theater, a black box, stadiums, a football field and other sports arts venues. In the 2020-2021 academic year, there are 53 experienced international teachers in the teaching team of 93 people, faculty of 190 people.
