Chengdu International School (CDS) was established in 1997. CDS offers an education in early
childhood through 12th grade to expatriates living in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. English is the language of instruction. CDIS is part of the International Schools Consortium (iSC)-a non-profit organization with six schools around China and one in the UAE. iSC schools are designed to develop students who Learn, Love, and Lead through 9 qualities of life: Purpose, Curiosity, Discernment, Connection, Compassion, Courage, Humility, Service, and Persistence.
Chengdu International School (CDS) is a college-preparatory international school, serving expatriate students from age 3 through grade 12. The school follows American standards of education with English as the primary language of instruction. The faculty is comprised of American teachers as well as teachers from China, Korea, India, South Africa, and Australia. All teachers are required to be licensed teachers with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. The current enrollment at DIS is approximately 315 students from more than 15 countries.
