CHINA WORLD ACADEMY is an IB course high school for Chinese students founded by the organizing team of UWC Changshu China. It aims to enable more Chinese students to enjoy the Chinese international education platform and the influence of UWC +. CHINA WORLD ACADEMY has won the full support of UWC Changshu China and Tsinghua affiliated high school in terms of curriculum concept, teaching research and teaching, teachers, extracurricular activities and further education guidance, so as to share and create educational resources.
Management and teacher team of CHINA WORLD ACADEMY are growing. More and more educators with the same vision and feelings of teachers have joined in succession to jointly fulfill the mission of education and educate people with people. The temperature of education can be contained in every corner of the campus.
As an IB high school, CHINA WORLD ACADEMY has designed a unique IB preparatory course (FP course) to help students adapt and master IB learning as soon as possible. Shihua FP course fully takes into account the different levels of English proficiency of students across the country, sets up a hierarchical teaching system in terms of language learning difficulty, and sets up perfect English courses in terms of learning scope (English literature, comprehensive English and English Drama); At the same time, learn from the successful experience of UWC Changshu China CSC FP course and integrate the advantages of Cambridge IGCSE course and China’s national curriculum to help students with different degrees and learning backgrounds do a good job in the connection of IB pure subject knowledge.
CHINA WORLD ACADEMY pays attention to the cultivation of scientific and innovative spirit, lists stem course as the core course, introduces the stem course of the national leading Tsinghua affiliated middle school, and synchronously refers to the American common core state standards (CCSS curriculum standards) in the design and span of practical content, so as to lay a solid foundation for the expansion of papers, epistemology and social practice activities in the next IBDP stage. In addition, the school focuses on students’ lifelong learning and growth, and opens a “youth self-development classroom” to guide students to have psychological maturity and self-management ability to adapt to future university learning and life.
