Dulwich International School in Beijing was opened in Beijing in 2005. The school now has about 1500 students from 45 different countries, ranging in age from 2 to 18. Dulwich International School in Beijing has a close relationship with Dulwich College school established in 1619. It also has a common heritage with all schools in the network of Dulwich International Education Group, and also cherishes the unique tradition formed since the establishment of the school.
Dulwich International School in Beijing is the second school to join the school family of Dulwich International Education Group (DCI). Dulwich International School in Beijing is divided into full-time kindergarten, primary school, junior middle school to senior high school. The courses before senior two are synchronized with the British national curriculum, and the IB international education diploma course is taught in senior two and senior three. Dulwich International School in Beijing provides education for children aged 2-18. Kindergarten education uses Chinese and English bilingual teaching. Children under the age of 5 carry out early education. When they enter grade 1, they study the national curriculum of England and Wales. Dulwich International School in Beijing has strengthened this curriculum to meet the needs of international students. Students in Grade 10 begin the international general certificate of secondary education (IGCSE), a rigorous two-year course that requires students to take a wide range of subjects, including mathematics and science, English and foreign languages, and the humanities. The course ends in Grade 11, when students need to take the course examination, and the course can prepare students well so that they can cope with the two-year International Diploma organization pre University Course (IBDP) starting from grade 12.
