Shen Wai International School (SWIS) is the first Pre-K to G12 international school invested and built by Shenzhen government, ran by Shenzhen Foreign Languages School Group. SWIS only targets students who hold foreign nationality and one of the parents must hold foreign nationality or permanent residence permit; or the students from Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan with one of the parents also from the above regions. Founded in 2010, SWIS is located in the Bay Area of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. SWIS covers an area of 24,000 square meters with a construction area of 42,000 square meters. There are 54 classrooms with the capacity of enrolling 1,080 students. Academy team is quiet strong where no any other school can do the same. Teachers are from 18 different countries and regions. All teachers have completed IB training and attends professional ongoing career training every year. There are 10 IB education network educators. The teacher-student ratio is 1:7. SWIS is accredited by CIS AND WASC and a member of EARCOS and ACAMIS. It’s an authorized IB continuum school that offers PYP, MYP AND DP programs to students from Pre-K to G12.
