The Bay School, located at Jingshan Villa 167, NanHai Avenue 1007, Nanshan, Shenzhen, is situated at the top of Jingshan Villa in Shekou, covering an area of 2,000 square meters. It is the first Chinese-Western integrated kindergarten in China to practice Developmentally Appropriate Practice (D.A.P.). The school offers science classrooms, art classrooms, sand ponds, pools, and rich exploration areas for children. The environment is designed to allow children to decide where to study, with flexible spaces for reading time, music lessons, and even lunch, which can be moved to the outdoor grass. With over 1,000 square meters of outdoor spaces, children can observe insect activities, plant growth, and even grow vegetables themselves. At The Bay School, Chinese and English are equally emphasized. The school encourages Chinese teachers to use Chinese and American teachers to use English, providing a natural bilingual environment for children to learn both languages fluently. The school has experienced foreign teachers from the U.S., and all teaching staff are full-time undergraduate students. The class teacher holds a master’s degree in preschool education.
